Olivia and Jonathan’s wedding ceremony was so heartfelt and lovely. One of my favorite moments to photograph was Olivia’s entrance: as she descended this grand staircase and processed into the ceremony space, she had the biggest smile on her face as she saw all the people she loved gathered to celebrate her and Jonathan. Meanwhile Jonathan looked so happy with his eyes locked on Olivia - it was such a moving moment to witness.

Thoughtfully discerning which wedding traditions they wanted to create or include, they decided to opt out of having a wedding party or taking getting ready/first look pictures – we started the photography portion of the day with some easygoing portraits of the two of them together. We took some portraits outside the theater on Minnehaha Ave, capturing the liveliness of the neighborhood– the bikes, the colorful mural, the bright sun warming the sidewalk–that has been the landscape of their life together.
