Minneapolis engagement photography with daughters
I was standing in the lobby of the Minnesota Arboretum, waiting for Ellie and Lance to arrive with their girls for the portrait session. Standing in a sunbeam and looking out the window, I was admiring the drop-dead-gorgeous flower beds in the front of the Arb... and all of a sudden, I heard a small voice call my name. I looked up just in time to see two grinning young girls dashing across the lobby, blonde hair flying behind them. They pelted into me with hugs and squeals of joy, and then proceeded to greet me with gifts of leaves and pebbles that they had collected on their journey from the car into the Arboretum. Needless to say, I was instantly charmed at these two, and we had a beautiful day, pulling the girls in to the first half of the session for some family portraits, and then focusing on Ellie and Lance for some Minneapolis engagement photography at the end.
Last week, I shared some of the images from Ellie and Lance's engagement session... and I'm so excited to show you some more portraits from that same session! Lance's two daughters joined for the engagement session as well so that we could capture a family portrait. And I am so, so delighted that I got to meet these young girls. They were playful and spunky and excellent at giggling on demand, which allowed us to create portraits full of joy and love and family.
The Minnesota Arboretum is an amazing place for a family or engagement portrait session. It's close to the Twin Cities, so it's an easy option for couples planning Minneapolis engagement photography. The Arboretum also has a lovely variety of spaces and gardens and nature within it - from formal rose garden beds to to big open fields to rolling hills of flowering trees.
